Red is one of, if not the most well-known individuals in the organised dueling scene. While he's not the most experienced, and might not be the most ferocius, Red still puts up a good fight in every match he plays in, and has earned a name for himself despite everything.
Red grew up in a more suburban area on the north of the continent. Too many people for it to be considered rural, though not developed enough to be considered urban. He would spend much of his life living in the town he was born in, helping his family and neighbours keep afloat and getting one job after another. Red had one goal at this point in life; that being to save up enough to find a place of his own, and move to the big city.
Sure enough, he eventually accumulated a hefty sum, enough to get both of those goals done. And so Red packed up his bags, kissed his family goodbye, and hopped onto the next train towards opportunity.
It was a few weeks after his move that Red first discovered organised dueling. It was a more underground thing, with matches happening every few nights in more secluded locations. Red thought it was interesting enough, and decided to come down and see what all the fuss was about. It only took a few matches in for Red to become hooked.
Now, it was quite a risk to watch these matches in-person, let alone fight in them. Everything Red had done to this point could all come crashing down if something went terribly wrong. But surely he could handle this. Fortune favors the bold, after all! Red went to a blacksmith, obtained a sword, and registered to be placed in a match.
That first match was not a great one.
Nevertheless, he persisted. With enough training, he did get better at fighting. Cliche, yes, but that was to be expected. Red still does his thing even today, performing duel after duel, consistently trying to improve his technique. And it's all he could have asked for.
In terms of fighting style, it doesn't get much more straightforward (in the Melee class, at least). Make contact, do damage. Simple, but it works.
When Red's sword comes into contact with another ball, it deals a random between 1 and 5 DMG.
Blue can often be caught zooming around with any given medium, placing pizzaz in his step anywhere he goes. He could be skateboarding, cycling, simply running; heck, maybe even surfing on top of his shield. Never a dull moment! Despite his history of being a relativey formidable player in the arena, Blue really doesn't care all that much for fighting, and really, hasn't ever taken this whole thing all that seriously. He would much rather be perfecting his shield-surfing skills now that he's discovered that's a thing you can do.
Blue has been describea by his fellow players and the spectators as a charming fellow, if not a bit easily distracted. He's often facing the boundaries of the arena and banging them with his shield during nearly every duel he stars in. Nobody knows why this happens, and Blue refuses to elaborate on why he does this. Sometimes it's used as a method to gain some momentum or spin, but otherwise it seems pointless from the eyes of a spectator. Though it may not be necessary questioning a strategy that seems to work out in Blue's favor. Sometimes, at least.
Outside of sport Blue is a cab driver. Not exactly the most interesting occupation, but it does get the bills paid. He also partakes in public events such as marathons, which explain his apparent agility in the arena. All in all, he seems to be a normal guy.

Blue's shield is a physical component like any ball is. When coming into contact with a Melee or Ranged class ball, it deals a random between 1 to 2 DMG on contact. For Physical class balls, it reflects any DMG that would have been dome on Blue back to the sender.
Upon contact between a Melee weapon and Blue's sheild, DMG that would have been done on Blue is reflected to the sender.
Upon contact with projectiles, Blue's shield will either reflect the projectile itself without reflecting DMG, or absorb the projectile entirely.

Yellow is known as one of the more positive contestants in the organisation. She doesn't show up very often, but when she does, it's always ready to perform and with her signature cheeky smile. While not exactly the most powerful in the roster, Yellow can still a solid opponent, and overall, is just wanting to have a bit of fun.
Matches with Yellow are quite long at times simply due to the more slow-burn nature of her technique. Yellow also does quite a bit of talking during duels, commenting on how her opponent's doing, or if things are a bit slower, chatting with the spectators outside the ring. She's quite the social butterfly. After matches she's likely to visit her opponent in the medbay (if she won) and ask them how they're doing, or have a lengthy conversation with anyone that happened to be passing by, or the healers/docitors/whoever they've decided to staff (if she lost). Yellow now has a bit of a clique for herself now, and she couldn't be happier.
Despite her weapon being called a scepter, Yellow is not a member of high society, neither through royal/noble lineage or throguh capital; and has no significant authority outside of the cliques she associates with. In fact, it may not even be a scepter at all. It's unknown what exaxtly Yellow's weapon is. Not even Yellow herself knows. But she calls it a scepter and at this point it's the universally accepted definition. According to Yellow, she found the thing at an antique shop one day and used her skill in magic to enhance it; hence the orbs.
Outside of combat Yellow is a painter; and it looks like she's much more concerned with her career at the moment.
Upon contact between Yellow's scepter and another ball, a set of orbs will form. These orbs stay in the arena until absorbed by Yellow's scepter. Upon contact between an orb and a ball, there is a one in four chance to deal 1 DMG.
When an orb takes damage, it becomes brighter. When Yellow despawns an orb by passing her scepter through it, Yellow gains HP based on how much damage that specific orb has done.

Green has been in the dueling space for quite some time now; and has a repution for his historically high win rate. His method is as straightforward as it gets: make contact, do damage. Despite his apparent lack of weapons or special abilities, Green still puts up a fight for every match he's in, and, as stated before, wins pretty frequently for someone who's using only blunt force in combat.
Green joined the sport when he was very young, and has had much time to hone in his skills and become the combatant he is today. Throughout his career, he's utilised the same physical technique; as he was never very good at weilding a weapon such as a blade.
Contrary to the tough guy persona he puts on during fights, Green is actually quite approachable as a person; albeit a bit cocky and perhaps a bit too interested in flirting with the other combatants outside the arena. He's part of a few small socail cliques and does spend time with some of the people he's met through dueling.
He also shaved his head at 20 and insists that it's one of the best descisions he's ever made.
Green deals an ammount of DMG points proportional to his current velocity.
